Technical Estimator A leading provider of innovative ventilation solutions is seeking a Technical Estimator/Sales Support to join their dynamic team.
Specialising in cutting-edge ventilation systems, including intermittent extract fans, continuous running extract, and heat recovery systems, this company is committed to enhancing living and working environments.
As part of the team, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the sales team with technical expertise, estimating projects, and designing ducted ventilation systems.
While experience in the ventilation industry is desirable, candidates with strong mechanical and technical skills will be given priority.
Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities of a Technical Estimator: Apply knowledge of air movement principles to support the product range, including extract fans and heat recovery systems.
Interpret technical drawings and ensure compliance with industry regulations, including Building Regulations.
Prepare accurate quotations and calculation sheets in response to customer inquiries.
Proficiently use Microsoft Office, in-house software, bespoke Revit-based ducting software, and AutoCAD LT.
Provide technical product support to clients via email and phone, and attend client meetings when necessary.
Support the external sales team by providing technical expertise.
Generate monthly reports on quote pipelines, sales numbers, and conversions.
Contribute to improving departmental efficiency and processes.
What Were Looking For of a Technical Estimator: Strong attention to detail, with excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
Willingness to learn and contribute to the ongoing development of the department.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings and industry documents.
Excellent communication skills.
Knowledge of ventilation or air movement technologies is a plus.
A technical mindset with a passion for solving problems and improving processes.
