Technical Director (Structural Engineer) Esher, Surrey £80k-£100k A well established and highly reputable specialist Temporary Works Design Consultancy have an opening for a Technical Director to join their proficient and experienced team at their head office in Esher.
The consultancy has around 70 staff and is the in house design arm for a major contractor but also have much of their own external works as well.
You would need to be a highly technical hands on structural engineer, with a CV showing significant experience with a range of buildings structures work and leadership roles.
Ideally you will be MICE or MIStructE qualified.
You will be leading projects and at the helm of a design team.
Geotechnical knowledge would be useful.
You must have the full right to work in the UK and be living within commuting distance.
The role will also include some permanent works design and geotechnical works.
You will be given exposure to a wide variety of challenging works, including working on a variety of large buildings design projects often involving high profile and complex buildings projects.
There will be demolition works, needling and propping, façade retentions, foundation designs, stability and alteration works, basements, geotechnical works and some permanent works.
The role will be very varied and would suit a driven candidate with a problem solving can do attitude.
Excellent communication skills and English are essential.
The emphasis here is on high quality design solutions in a contractor led, often reactive work environment, so you must be a clear thinker and keen to work in a fast paced environment, leading from the front.
An emphasis is put on having highly qualified staff here and offering expert solutions to clients.
