Join us as a Technical Delivery Manager at Barclays, where youll support thedelivery of ALM Strategic Transformation (Lansdowne) Barclays Europe Day 1 andmeet the JST commitment. We need to build the testing team to support thevolume of intricate testing that will be required to cover the testingscenarios & test cases that the scale of this project demandsTo be successful as a Technical Delivery Manager, you should have experiencewith * Delivering new solutions & products across the full SDLC * Stakeholder Management Skills, ability to influence and negotiate at the VPD Level. * Managing resource & financial plans.Some other highly valued skills may include * Knowledge of Financial Reporting Treasury Functions * Experience working under Scaled Agile Frameworks * Ownership of narrative around supporting agile ceremonies & artefacts such as burndown graphs, product roadmaps, sprint planningYou may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role,such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumenstrategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specifictechnical skillsThis role will be based in our Northampton office.Purpose of the role To manage the efficient delivery of large-scale technical projects andcapabilities across the bank and collaborate with internal and externalstakeholders to understand their needs and expectations throughout thesoftware product lifecycle, adhering to agreed time, budget and qualityrequirements. Accountabilities · Management of the delivery, resource allocation and improvement of complextechnical project capabilities across the bank using AgileScrum methodologiesfor planning, stand-ups, demos, retrospectives and the execution of sprints. · Collaboration with customers and business teams to manage and implementcustomer trails to support the proposal of technically feasible solutions, andeffort and timeline expectations. · Collaboration with software engineers, quality teams, product managers andother engineering teams to deliver high-quality products and features throughthe software project lifecycle aligned to the banks objectives, regulation andsecurity policies. · Identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks associated withtechnical projects to prepare the bank for potential challenges. · Management of change requests and communication with stakeholders throughoutthe project lifecycle. · Management of vendor relations involved in technical projects to ensure theydeliver according to agreed terms. · Stay abreast of the latest industry technology trends and technologies, toevaluate and adopt new approaches to improving deliver outcomes and to fostera culture of continuous learning, technical excellence and growth. Assistant Vice President Expectations · Consult on complex issues; providing advice to People Leaders to support theresolution of escalated issues. · Identify ways to mitigate risk and developing new policiesprocedures insupport of the control and governance agenda. · Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation tothe work done. · Perform work that is closely related to that of other areas, which requiresunderstanding of how areas coordinate and contribute to the achievement of theobjectives of the organisation sub-function. · Collaborate with other areas of work, for business aligned support areas tokeep up to speed with business activity and the business strategy. · Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources of information,internal and external sources such as procedures and practises (in otherareas, teams, companies, etc).to solve problems creatively and effectively. · Communicate complex information. Complex information could includesensitive information or information that is difficult to communicate becauseof its content or its audience. · Influence or convince stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
