As the Technical Compliance Specialist, you ensure our products meet food safety and compliance standards by managing product setups, developing specifications, overseeing packaging, conducting audits, handling consumer inquiries, and maintaining strong relationships with manufacturers and retailers.
The following will be your main accountabilities in the role of Technical Compliance Coordinator Food Safety Compliance: Oversee and ensure the food safety of our manufacturing partners, adhering to all relevant regulations and standards.
Product Setup for Retail: Manage the setup of new products for retail, ensuring all technical specifications are met.
Food Specifications: Develop and maintain detailed food specifications for all products.
Artwork & Packaging: Create the packaging ensure that all artwork and packaging align with technical specifications and compliance requirements.
Forecast Setup: Assist in setting up forecasts for product demand and distribution.
Distribution: Coordinate with the distribution team to ensure timely and compliant delivery of products to retailers.
Compliance Audits: Review, audit, and analyse manufacturing facilities to ensure they comply with our retailers specifications and UK market standards.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of compliance activities and prepare necessary reports.
Compliance Training: Develop and provide training on compliance policies, practices, and reporting systems.
Consumer Complaints & Inquiries: Manage and respond to consumer complaints and questions received via the website, ensuring timely and satisfactory resolutions.
Food Safety Testing Reviews: Conduct and review food safety testing to ensure products meet all safety standards and regulations.
Skills & Experience A lot of training will be provided in the use of our key stakeholder systems and we're willing to develop the person with the right attitude for this role.
The skills and experience that would be ideal though, are Attention to Detail: Strong capability to review technical specifications, packaging, and artwork to ensure precise compliance with regulations.
Knowledge of Food Safety Standards: Familiarity with food safety regulations, including HACCP, BRC, and UK/EU food standards.
Project Management: Effective in managing product setups, demand forecasts, and coordinating with distribution to meet retail and compliance timelines.
Analytical Skills: Ability to conduct audits, analyse compliance data, and interpret food safety testing results.
Tech Proficiency: Proficiency with compliance software, product setup systems, and MS Office tools for record-keeping and reporting.
The salary will be pro rata amount of £30,000 depending on the hours agreed.
