Position: Contract Location: Aztec West Offices (Hybrid, with occasional visits to HPC construction site) Duration: Ongoing Type: Full-time Rate: £255 p/d to £315 p/d - Umbrella Inside IR35 (PAYE rates also available) Vacancy Overview We are currently seeking an organised and detail-oriented Technical Clerk to support the Hinkley Point C (HPC) Project within the Plant Integration team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a junior or graduate candidate interested in data management, technical administration, and gaining experience in the nuclear energy sector.
In this role, you will assist in managing critical configuration data and documentation, ensuring alignment with project standards and regulatory compliance.
As part of the team responsible for coordinating and tracking HPC's configuration management activities, you will play an essential role in maintaining accurate records, ensuring effective data flow, and supporting seamless coordination across the project.
Principal Accountabilities * Data Management: Assist in the coordination and tracking of configuration management data, ensuring information is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
* Documentation Support: Maintain and organise project records, including design changes, technical specifications, and compliance documentation, supporting effective configuration control across project stages.
* Communication & Coordination: Act as a point of contact for stakeholders, supporting the configuration management team with information requests, data validation, and project updates.
* Quality Assurance: Ensure data and records meet project quality standards, identifying discrepancies and coordinating resolutions with the relevant teams.
* Administrative Support: Provide day-to-day administrative assistance to the configuration management team, including data entry, documentation formatting, and file organisation.
About You We are looking for a proactive, organised individual who enjoys working with data and documentation.
You'll need to have a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently within a structured framework.
Prior experience in technical administration or data management is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience Essential Skills & Experience: * Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word, with experience managing databases or data entry systems.
* Enthusiasm for learning about the nuclear and engineering industries.
Desirable Skills: * Familiarity with data management, project documentation, or configuration control within technical projects.
* Interest or background in engineering, nuclear energy, or similar technical fields.
* Willingness to travel occasionally as required.
Personal Competencies: * Positive, proactive attitude with a questioning and detail-oriented mindset.
* Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Flexible and receptive to change, with a willingness to learn and grow within the role.
