As such, we are looking to recruit an experienced Technical Architect on the path to a role within Enterprise Architecture; on a permanent bass to shape the technology roadmap and align this to the wider organisational strategy.The Technical/Enterprise Architect will be a member of a greenfield, and growing Architecture Practice in the department of Information System Services providing leadership, analysis and design around the development of the organisation's digital architecture.
The role will involve owning and shaping the technology roadmap, whilst working with a range of internal business stakeholders reporting directly to the Head of Customer, Strategy and Governance.What you will needTOGAF certified with an in-depth knowledge of Enterprise Architecture frameworks, principles, and best practices, with the ability to produce clear and concise architectural documentationHave proven leadership skills, to be able lead on the development of architectural decisions and solutionsExperience of identifying architectural challenges, and of proposing innovative solutions to address themPlease refer to the included job description and person specification for further details of essential and desirable qualifications for the role Role & Responsibilities:Analyse our current technologies to detect critical deficiencies, legacy and technical debt and recommend solutions for improvement, taking into account the Digital Strategy, available resources and capital planningLead on the design of the future-state technology architecture, analysing the enterprise business context (business strategy and trends), as well as change requirements and transition plansCarry out horizon scanning, identifying emerging trends and their potential impact and opportunity for the organisation, driving digital innovation by leveraging innovative technologies and approaches to renovate, extend and transform the existing development and solutions environmentIdentify priorities for change to enable delivery at pace and lead on the delivery of cross-cutting capabilities that enable changeEstablish architectural principles, policies, standards and develop governance and new ways of working to ensure adherence across the delivery lifecycle, and provide guidance for the solutions, data and technology architectsDevelop and maintain a framework for architectural modelling, documentation and graphical representations.
