Technical Architect (Operational Technology) Permanent – £60k to £70k + potential bonus and benefits
Location: Hybrid/remote – Newport
A leading Utilities organisation in Wales are currently looking for a Technical Architect, focusing on Operational Technology, to come in and compliment the existing architecture team.
You will collaborate to ensure that the organisation optimises their industrial processes, enhances resilience, and leverages emerging technologies.
Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of operational technology systems, ensuring compatibility with existing IT infrastructure.
Provide technical expertise and guidance on the integration of industrial control systems, sensors, and automation technologies.
Design and implement cybersecurity measures for operational technology systems, ensuring the protection of critical infrastructure from cyber threats.
Operational Technology Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Industrial Control Systems (ICS), SCADA, PLCs, DCS, and other operational technology components.
Cybersecurity: Proficient in implementing cybersecurity measures for operational technology, including network segmentation, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
Experience in integrating operational technology systems with enterprise IT systems for seamless data flow and analytics.
Emerging Technologies: Familiarity with emerging technologies such as IoT, AI, and edge computing, and their application in optimising operational processes.
This role is hybrid, on a 50/50 basis.
This would usually equate to 2 days in office one week, 3 days in office the next.
