We're seeking a skilled Tear Down Vehicle Technician to join a fantastic team at an industry-leading facility in Daventry.
This full-time, permanent role offers a salary of up to £35,000 per annum + Benefits and the opportunity to work with a team that values precision, safety, and mechanical excellence.
About the Role: As a Tear Down Vehicle Technician , you'll focus on full vehicle disassembly with a strong mechanical emphasis .
You'll be responsible for meticulously taking apart every component, ensuring each piece is handled with care and accuracy.
With your knowledge of car parts and teardown processes, you'll become an integral part of a team that's committed to precision and organised handling of every vehicle.
Key Responsibilities: Complete Vehicle Disassembly Perform full strip-downs of vehicles with a focus on mechanical components, ensuring precision and accuracy in every task.
Parts Disassembly Remove and safely handle all vehicle parts, including intricate components, wiring, and assemblies, while documenting and organising parts for easy reassembly.
Oil and Fuel Draining Safely drain engine oil, fuel, and other fluids as part of the disassembly process, following appropriate environmental and safety guidelines.
Brake System Disassembly Take apart brake systems, including pads, rotors, and other components, with precision and an understanding of braking mechanisms.
Component Handling Handle various vehicle components with attention to detail, ensuring no damage to parts and adherence to safety protocols throughout the process.
Adherence to Safety Standards Follow all health and safety guidelines, ensuring a clean and organised workspace that minimises risk and prevents hazards.
Compliance and Data Logging Log and Track data such as VIN numbers of disassembled parts and components Who We're Looking For: Technical Experience: Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician, ideally in a main dealership or similar environment.
Mechanical Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of vehicle mechanical systems, including engines, transmissions, and brake systems.
Parts Knowledge: Familiarity with all car parts and components, with the ability to identify, handle, and remove each part safely and accurately.
Disassembly Skills: Proficient in taking apart vehicle systems and components, using specialised tools as needed for a thorough and organised strip-down.
Detail Orientated: High attention to detail and the ability to work methodically to avoid errors and ensure efficient reassembly if required.
