Key Responsibilities Provide technical and commercial mentorship to engineering teams across various locations.
Oversee staff management, including timesheets, leave, remote-work approvals, appraisals, training, and salary reviews.
Collaborate with departmental leaders for optimized resource allocation and successful project execution.
Support recruitment, training, and onboarding for the business unit.
Drive business development and sales to meet financial goals.
Ensure high-quality deliverables for all team-managed projects.
Manage project backlogs, oversee invoicing, and align with business objectives.
Expertise in power system analysis under steady-state and dynamic conditions.
Conduct generation compliance studies, power quality assessments, circuit breaker switching transient studies, and insulation coordination.
Skilled in protection coordination, Arc Flash studies, and techno-economic analysis.
Experienced with HVDC systems, sub-synchronous oscillations, and automation scripting for power system analysis tools.
Knowledgeable in grid connections for generation and load within transmission and distribution systems.
Experienced in technical due diligence, substation equipment design, and specification.
Proficient in at least three of the following: PSCAD/EMTDC, DIgSILENT, PowerFactory, PSSE, MATLAB/Simulink, ETAP, and ERACS.
Qualifications Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
10+ years of professional experience in power systems engineering.
Hands-on experience with renewable grid integration and familiarity with grid codes.
Proven expertise in power system analysis, including steady-state, RMS, and EMT simulations using standard industry software.
Comprehensive knowledge of power system components such as BESS, Solar PV, HVDC interconnectors, synchronous generators, and wind turbines.
