The Role For this position you must have a background in care and support, and also you will be able to work on your own initiative and also have an engaging personality, but also be able to deal with situations that may be of a challenge.
For this position it is essential that you have a background in supporting people with personality disorders (BPD, EUPD, personality disorder traits), complex post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma and autism.
Ideally your experience will be in community base settings, such as supported living and/or residential care.
Knowledge of trauma informed care practice is essential.
Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) would be an advantage.
You will play a pivotal role in providing person-centred support for a nonbinary individual with a complex trauma history to develop essential life skills and independence.
They are supported on a 2:1 basis in their own home.

They have an interest in crystals, music, swimming and enjoys spending time with their son.

An understanding of ADHD, Autism and EUPD (Emotionally unstable personality disorder) is advantageous, as is the ability to deal with challenging situations.
Hours We will be providing support on a 24/7basis with a staff ration of two to one, and therefore we are looking to build a team who can play a part in providing support on a rotational basis.
The roster works on a three days a week approach and therefore the contracts are 36 hours per week for three full days, but all roles involve alternate weekend working and sleep ins .
