We are looking for Team Leader to join our team based in Abernethy, Perthshire.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the sites intake & sizing operations.
At Branston, potatoes are our business, supplying both fresh and prepared products to one of the biggest retailers within the UK.
The role is based at our Fresh factory, which has recently undergone huge developments, with new automation and machinery installed as part of our commitment to continuous improvement.
The working environment in food manufacturing is fast-paced and subject to change, requiring you to adapt and respond to a varied workload.
Examples of duties include: Leadership- providing consistent leadership across shifts, whilst always demonstrating and role modelling our Branston HWDB values.
Planning- Management of staff resource, dealing with crewing and holiday requests.
Employee relations & engagement- Working with HR to ensure any employee relations matters are handled consistently and in line with policy.
Performance Management- Reviewing employee performance regularly, providing constructive feedback, motivating and engaging the team to work to their best.
Developing direct reports to reach their potential and promote succession planning within the business.
Health & Safety- Acting as a role model for H&S, ensuring processes are adhered to by all members of the team, and taking appropriate action when others do not work in a safe manner.
Compliance- Ensure all members of the team are following standard operating procedures and working area complies with GMP audit standards.
Training- Ensure all employees are fully trained and competent in their area of responsibility, following standard operating procedures, and completing appropriate training records.
