Team Leader – Children's home £42,082 - £49,121 assuming good attendance and up to 3 sleep ins per month Location Bampton, Oxfordshire Position Type Full time Teaching Personnel have an amazing opportunity to work with Children's homes in the Bampton area.
Seeking a passionate and dedicated Team leader to join there team.
The homes accommodate young people with social, emotional and mental health needs, and the aim is to create the best possible outcome for the young people in care.
Responsibilities Day to day supervision and guidance of staff regarding standards of care in line with the National Minimum Standards for Children's Homes and the wider implications of group guidelines, procedures, instructions and Policies e.g.
health care, children's rights, child care law etc.
To play a significant role in supervision of Key Workers encouraging them to be responsible for and accountable to senior staff in ensuring effective assessment monitoring, planning and evaluating for each child takes place.
To ensure that full and complete casework records for young people are maintained and that sound decisions are made and carried out.
To assist the Registered Manager in ensuring specific plans are carried out.
To demonstrate good child care practices in own direct work with children to provide a model for other staff members.
Qualifications At least 2 years' experience of working with children in a similar setting NVQ Level 3 in Child Care or equivalent (or working towards) Ability to produce written reports Ability to make verbal contributions to Reviews and Case Conferences Ability to organise and lead recreational activities Knowledge of current legislation Ability to form positive working relationships with parents and outside agencies.
Ability to lead a team Good communication skills High level of resilience Ability to build positive relationships with children and young people Ability to maintain professional standards at all times You will be required to have a full UK driving license and access to your own vehicle for this vacancy.
