Main duties of the job To provide leadership and advice across the East Kent hospitals in support of efficient and effective patient flow that facilitates the achievement of the performance and quality standards of the Trust, especially emergency performance.
To ensure 24-hour provision of service, through the use of proactive site management, patient flow and capacity utilisation, in line with Trust and national guidelines.
To ensure own and Clinical Site Management Team's compliance with all Trust policies, particularly the Rhythm of the Day, Patient Access Bed Allocation Operating Procedure, Integrated Discharge Policy, Trust Capacity & Demand Escalation Plan, Inter-site Transfer Policy and all relevant clinical policies.
To provide initial site leadership for the management and response to incidents occurring within the hospital, outside of normal working hours ( arrest calls, security incidents, fire calls, trauma calls, serious clinical incidents / complaints and serious incidents).
