Contract type Permanent Full-time equivalent salary FTE: £24,133 - £27,663, Actual: £17,442.84-£19,994.26 What skills and experience we're looking for Main purpose TheTeaching Assistant will:- Work under thedirection of teaching staff/senior managers to support the delivery of qualitylearning and teaching of pupils with special educational needs.
Work withchildren and young people who have a range of significant and often complexSEND for example those with autism, social, emotional and mental healthdifficulties, moderate learning difficulties, speech language and communicationneeds and those who exhibit challenging behaviour.
Undertakespecified work with individuals, groups and whole classes under the directionand supervision of a qualified teacher.
Encourage theparticipation of pupils in the social and academic processes of the school, andenable pupils to become more independent learners.
Undertakework/care/support programmes to enable access to learning for pupils and toassist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom.
