We are seeking to appoint Senior Teaching Assistantsto work with pupils in our care at Stocklake Park School.

What the school offers its staff
Part of the Vale Federation of Schools, Stocklake ParkSecondary School is a special school which caters for students who havemoderate to severe learning difficulties.
There are currently 105 students at the mainsite.
The school follows a primary model and is designed to meet individualeducational needs and develop social and personal skills.
The curriculum isorganised to give students the opportunity to experience and explore differentsubjects.
We provide high quality education and care and students have accessto a range of therapies, multi-agency professionals and a team of therapistswho support students' needs.

All students have access to swimming at our primarysite, a rebound centre and purpose built outdoor spaces including a MUGA (multiuse games area) and playground equipment.

Further details about the role
As a Senior Teaching Assistant the successful candidate willwork under the guidance of teaching and senior staff and within an agreedsystem of supervision, to implement agreed work programmes withindividuals/groups, in or out of the classroom.
with the class teacher inlesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lesson/work plans as appropriate.
Youwill assist with the development and implementation of individual education andpersonal care plans, attending to personal hygiene needs and administering medicines.You will be required to lead whole classes in the absence of both the Teacherand Assistant Teacher within the class.

Ideal candidates for this role will have a minimum of threeyears' experience of working with children and young people who have a range ofspecial educational and complex needs either in a special school or similarsetting, or maybe through a different job role.
You will be able to liaise withother professionals in order to carry out recommendations required and alsowork on your own initiative.
A good working knowledge of ICT to be able toeffectively support learning and a commitment to training is expected.Resilience, common sense and a commitment to working as part of a team are alsokey attributes.
