We would like to recruit a new LSA to join our successfuljunior school team as a permanent member of staff as soon as possible.
At ourschool, an LSA supports each class every morning and we have one Senior LSA(HLTA) in each year team to lead the LSA team.
Our class-based LSAs work inpartnership with the teacher in their class to promote learning, wellbeing andgrowth for every child.
Our LSAs support assessment for learning strategies andwork flexibly with different groups of children within their class to help themengage with class learning and make progress.
In addition, our LSAs provide bothplanned and responsive one-to-one and small group support for children's additionallearning needs and to promote their wellbeing.
The National Curriculum embraces a 'Whatever it takes'approach and our LSAs establish strong working relationships with the teachersand children in the class they support to effectively enable every child to besuccessful.
Our Class LSAs also support the children in their class at lunchtimesto help make this an enjoyable and safe part of the day.
The class LSA role at our school is a very rewarding oneand involves working at Hampshire's LSA 2 level which is reflected in the 'C'pay scale.
Our vacancy is within our team of permanent LSAs who work 22.5 hoursper week from 8:30am to 1pm each day to support learning, wellbeing andpositive lunchtimes in a specific class.
Our LSA contracts are for 40 weeks per year to include theircontracted hours for the 39 weeks of term time, plus whole days for educationalvisits, Sports Day, etc.
Our LSAs also work one day in the summer holidays tohelp ensure everything is ready for our children for the start of the newschool year in September.
We are a very large juniorschool with sixteen class - four in each year group.
As a school we areextremely proud of our successes and the effectiveness of our schoolimprovement work has been recognised by the Local Authority.
In April 2022 wesecured a very positive outcome from our short Ofsted inspection, not least thejudgement that our Christian Values of TLC 'help to make the school a veryspecial place.'
This echoed the outcome of our church school inspection inNovember 2019 that our Christian vision 'successfully drives the school'sdevelopment and has an exceptional impact on the lives of pupils and adults.'
