What skills and experience we're looking for
Weare looking for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to start with us.
Working alongside our class teachers and other TAsin you will support children in class to enable them to engage fully withschool life and prepare them for the next stage of their learning journey.
Therole will involve working with children on a 1:1 basis aswell as supporting with whole class activities.
Under the direction of and within aneducation plan provided by the classroom teacher:
Supervisethe activities of individual to ensure their safety and facilitate theirphysical and emotional development.
Usespecialist skills to undertake those activities necessary to meet the learning,physical and emotional needs of pupils.
Usespecialist skills to foster the intellectual and social development of theindividual.
Undertakethose activities necessary to meet the physical and emotional needs ofindividuals and groups of children, including pupils with educational, physicalor emotional special needs.
Withincompetence, to assist the teacher in the delivery of educational anddevelopmental work programmes.
Tomonitor and report individual'sprogress, achievements, problems and developmental needs to theclassroom teacher or designated supervisor as appropriate.
Assistthe classroom teacher in the planning of work programmes for individual.
