Job Title: Teaching Assistant / SEN Support Location: Bournemouth Salary: £12.82 - £14.72 per hour (Depending on experience) Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time Are you a recent graduate passionate about education, mental health, and making a positive impact?
GES Education are looking for enthusiastic Graduates to join our team as Teaching Assistants (TAs) and Special Educational Needs (SEN) Support staff, offering invaluable support to students and gaining hands-on experience along the way.
About the role: In this role, you will be a key figure in the classroom, working closely with students to provide personalised guidance and assistance, particularly to those with SEN. You will support the lead teacher by helping manage classroom dynamics, adapting activities to meet different learning needs, and providing both academic and emotional support.
Essential Qualities That We Are Looking For: Offer one-on-one support and encouragement to students, helping them engage with learning tasks.
Adapt resources and classroom activities to accommodate individual learning styles and needs.
Assist in creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment for all students.
Support students' social and emotional development, particularly those facing challenges.
Observe, document, and report on student progress, collaborating with teachers and parents.
Help maintain classroom organisation and assist with lesson preparations.
The Successful Candidate Will: Currently enrolled in university or a recent graduate, preferably with an interest in education, psychology, or social sciences.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Empathy, patience, and a proactive approach to student support.
Enthusiasm for learning and contributing positively in an educational setting.
Prior experience in an educational or SEN setting is an asset but not essential.
