GSL Education are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant - SEN to join a dynamic school in Grantham .

As a Teaching Assistant - SEN , you will work closely with teachers, SENCOs and SEN staff to provide tailored support for students, creating an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
You will play a crucial role in enabling students to overcome barriers and engage fully in their education.
SEN Teaching Assistant Responsibilities: Support students with SEN on a one-to-one basis or in small groups.
Assist in the preparation and delivery of personalised lesson plans and resources.
Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
Promote positive behaviour management strategies.
Help students develop their social and emotional skills, empowering them to succeed both in and outside of the classroom.
Monitor students' progress and provide feedback to the teacher, SENCOs and SEN staff.
Maintain accurate records of student development and contribute to creating individual learning plans.
Offer support with personal care and mobility needs where necessary.
Build strong relationships with students, encouraging their confidence and independence.
Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for students.
Requirements for a SEN TA: Experience working with children with SEN as a Teaching Assistant - SEN is essential.
CACHE Level 3 or NVQ Level 2/3 in Teaching Assistant or childcare certification is desirable.
Any degree in Education, Psychology or in a relevant field.
Knowledge of various special educational needs such as Autism, ADHD, SEMH and other learning difficulties.
A patient, nurturing, and flexible approach to supporting students with additional needs.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with students and colleagues effectively.
Ability to adapt to different learning needs and approaches.
A clear understanding of safeguarding procedures and child protection practices.
A proactive and dedicated attitude to helping students achieve their potential.
