Teaching Assistant Grade 3 Temporary until July 2025, to start as soon as possible8 hours per week over 2 days Lunchtime support Grade 22 hours a week We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant and Lunchtime Supervisor to support pupils in our friendly and vibrant school.
The successful candidate should have some understanding of children with a range of needs.
Previous classroom experience is desirable but full induction and training will be provided.
The successful candidate will need to be patient and be able to adapt to situations quickly.
The post is divided between the Reception class and the Year 1/2 class but may involve additional support with other year groups where needed.
There will be an element of individual support for specific pupils.
The lunchtime support role will involve supervising specific pupils in the lunch break both in the dining hall and the playground.
Additional training or support may be necessary to enable you to carry out your role effectively.
The small team at Shipley know the children extremely well and will give clear guidance.
Staff are supportive and knowledgeable and go out of their way to help colleagues.
