This role will play a key role in supporting the teaching and learning in our SLCN Unit, so knowledge and recent experience of SEN is essential.
You will have a minimum of 2 years' experience of working with children.
You will need experience of working with children with SLCN, including Autism.
You must be able to work as part of a team and be able to motivate and inspire others.
You will need to demonstrate an understanding and experience of; - working with non-verbal children, using intensive interaction to develop joint attention - using picture exchange, signing and communication aids to support children in their communication - have recent experience of working with children on the EYFS curriculum - use assessment to measure small steps of progress - using visuals to support routine, including use of now and then.
