Teaching Assistant - KS3 & KS4 SEN School Location: Penarth Role Type: Full-time Start Date: January 2025 Teaching Personnel is recruiting a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant to join our team in a local Penarth SEN school, supporting KS3 and KS4 students with special educational needs.
This is a full-time position starting in January 2025, ideal for an individual who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people and is prepared for a rewarding yet challenging role.
Key Responsibilities: Provide essential classroom support to students in KS3 and KS4, adapting learning materials to meet diverse needs.
Work closely with the class teacher to manage behavior and ensure a positive, disruption-free learning environment.
Offer encouragement, patience, and empathy, supporting students in developing essential skills and confidence.
Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's learning requirements.
Help foster an inclusive and supportive classroom setting.
Ideal Candidate Attributes: Resilience : A calm and committed approach to helping students overcome challenges.
Patience : The ability to offer consistent support and understanding to students with complex needs.
Adaptability : Able to adjust to various learning styles and classroom dynamics.
Experience : Prior experience working with SEN students is highly desirable, but a positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn are equally important.
Requirements: Relevant experience in a similar role is beneficial.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Availability to start full-time from January 2025.
