The role includes supporting children during class time and general playtime and lunchtime duties are included in the role.
Working with children who have additional needs is specialised work and requires someone with the right mind-set who is resilient and who always looks at everything from the child's point of view, to help them gradually grow and improve their learning and social skills.
Working with children who have complex special needs can be challenging but also rewarding, for the right person.
Induction, support and training from our Inclusion Leader will be on offer.
Candidates do need a good level of numeracy, grammar, punctuation, spelling, reading and writing proficiency to be a Teaching Assistant at Glebe.
Pass grades in both maths and English at GCSE level are an absolute requirement.
