Earn £23,500 per annum by bringing your skills and passion to this role.
Previous experience working with pupils and young people with Autism is highly desirable.

Hours: 38.5 hours per week , Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent, Term time only hours

Hillingdon Manor provides specialist education for 185 pupils, aged between 3.5 and 19. Our Secondary School supports around 125 students, who are taught in smaller class sizes and work towards various qualifications dependent on their needs and ability.
The site aims to provide sufficient support to unlock each pupil's potential, enabling them to live fulfilling and productive lives. We offer a safe and supervised environment, achievable due to the dedication and support from employed professionals who are passionate, reliable, and understanding.
The Opportunity
As a Teaching Assistant, you will directly connect with the pupils and young people we care for, helping ensure they receive the best possible education. Each individual has a diagnosis of Autism and may have additional needs. They have significant potential, and it is up to you to guide their learning journeys tailored to their unique needs.
You will help prepare learning materials and run classroom activities, providing hands-on experience and some supervision. You will take responsibility for their emotional and physical well-being, supporting them to develop as individuals and engage with the world.
You will face challenges and overcome them as you flourish and thrive, sharing your skills and learning from others as your career progresses.
Every day will be different, but you will have all the necessary support, with valuable advice and guidance available along the way.

You will be adaptable and ready to work in a variety of classroom roles, both indoors and outside according to individual need. Taking a responsive and caring approach, you may lead classroom activities, organize outdoor experiences, or supervise pupils as they explore further afield.
