About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a student in a mainstream secondary school in Plymouth.
This role involves working closely with the student in class, encouraging engagement with lessons, supporting their specific learning needs, and ensuring they attend each class.
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in helping the student overcome learning and behavioural challenges to reach their full potential.
This position is likely to continue until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of extension.
Key Responsibilities: Provide direct 1:1 support for a student, helping them engage fully in classroom activities.
Assist the student with their individual learning and behavioural needs.
Ensure the student transitions smoothly to each class and attends all scheduled lessons.
Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to adapt learning materials as needed.
Encourage positive behaviour and support the student in developing effective learning strategies.
Requirements: Previous experience in a Teaching Assistant role, specifically with SEN (Special Educational Needs) and behaviour management.
Understanding of the needs and challenges of working 1:1 with students requiring additional support.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
