Job Advertisement: Teaching Assistant (Level 2 Childcare) Location: Retford Are you passionate about supporting children's growth and learning in a school environment?
We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with a Level 2 Childcare qualification to join our friendly and supportive primary school team in Retford.
Key Responsibilities: Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils, including those with additional learning needs.
Create a nurturing and inclusive environment that promotes children's emotional and social well-being.
Support classroom management and preparation of resources.
Encourage positive behavior and help pupils reach their full potential.
Supervise children during break times, outings, and extracurricular activities.
Collaborate with the teaching team and contribute to the wider school community.
Requirements: Level 2 Childcare qualification (or equivalent).
Experience working with primary-aged children in an educational or childcare setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach to supporting children.
Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices.
Flexibility and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
