Teaching Assistant Location: Maidenhead Salary: £85 - £95 per day (Depending on experience) Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time Are you passionate about supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and making a meaningful difference in their lives?
In this role, you will work closely with the class teacher to support students with ASD.
Your responsibilities include assisting with lesson preparation, providing one-on-one support, adapting learning activities to meet individual needs, and helping create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
You will also monitor student progress and collaborate with staff and parents to ensure each child reaches their full potential.
Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant: Assist in planning and delivering lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with ASD.
Provide one-on-one or small group support to students to ensure their progress.
Help manage classroom behaviour in line with individual support plans.
Work closely with teachers, SENCO, and other professionals to adapt learning materials.
Monitor and report on student progress, ensuring any concerns are raised promptly.
Support the social and emotional development of students, promoting a safe and inclusive environment.
Requirements of an ASD-specialised Teaching Assistant: Previous experience working with children with ASD or in a special educational needs (SEN) setting is highly desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, staff, and parents.
Patience, adaptability, and resilience in supporting children with additional needs.
A genuine passion for improving the lives of students with ASD.
An enhanced DBS check on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
