The role of a Teaching Assistant is an excellent opportunity to work closely with teachers and students, providing essential support to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
Whether you are experienced or looking to begin your career in education, the Teaching Assistant role offers a chance to make a real difference Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant (TA): Help teachers prepare learning materials and support classroom activities.
Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to students to improve their learning.
Track student progress and share updates with the teaching team.
Promote positive behaviour and encourage social interaction among students.
Supervise students during school activities, trips, and break times.
Requirements of the Teaching Assistant: Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in an educational role is a plus, but not essential.
A genuine interest in supporting students and their development.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Patience, empathy, and flexibility to work with different learners.
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are beneficial.

To work with GSL Education as a Teaching Assistant , you should: Have the right to work in the UK. Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years. Have an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
