This is a great role for someone enthusiastic about helping children develop key skills in literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional learning.
The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and play an important role in creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities: Support the Year 1 class teacher in planning and delivering fun and educational activities.
Work one-on-one and in small groups to support students' understanding of core subjects, such as reading, writing, and maths.
Assist with classroom management, encouraging positive behaviour and engagement.
Help monitor and record students' progress, providing valuable feedback to the teacher.
Foster a safe, nurturing environment that encourages children's social and emotional development.
About You: Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within Key Stage 1.
A relevant qualification, such as a Level 2 or Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, is highly desirable.
Patient, approachable, and passionate about supporting young children's learning and development.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and phonics programs is an advantage.
