Teaching Assistant required for secondary school in Havant About the Role: We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant secondary school in Havant .
The successful candidate will provide essential support to both teachers and students, helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
You will assist in classroom activities, provide 1:1 support to students with additional needs, and work closely with teachers to ensure all pupils reach their potential.
This role is perfect for someone passionate about education, with an interest in supporting young people academically and socially.
Responsibilities: Support classroom teachers in lesson preparation and delivery.
Work with small groups or individuals to reinforce learning.
Provide assistance to students with special educational needs (SEN).
Foster a positive, supportive learning environment for students.
Assist with classroom management and behaviour support.
Help with administrative tasks such as marking or preparing resources.
Requirements: Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role (preferred but not essential).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, adaptability, and a passion for working with young people.
A willingness to support students with varying abilities.
A valid DBS on the update service or a willingness to undergo a DBS check.
