About the Role Connex Education is working with a large amount of primary schools in Derby, and are seeking Teaching Assistant's for day-to-day cover work.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will be directly involved in supporting students towards their full potential.
We are looking for an energetic and engaging Teaching Assistant's to join the team and make a difference to the pupils.
We have both full-time and part-time options available, with shifts to suit your needs.
Your role can vary depending on the specific needs of the school, teacher, and students, but generally include: Classroom Support: TAs assist teachers with classroom management by helping to supervise students, maintain order, and ensure a positive learning environment.
Instructional Assistance: They may work with individual students or small groups to reinforce lessons taught by the teacher, provide additional explanations, or offer extra practice on assignments.
Resource Preparation: TAs often help prepare teaching materials, such as visual aids, worksheets, or other resources needed for lessons.
Administrative Tasks: They may assist with administrative duties such as taking attendance, grading assignments, and organizing classroom materials.
Special Needs Support: TAs often work closely with students who have special educational needs or disabilities, providing personalized assistance and accommodations to help them succeed academically and socially.
Behavioral Support: TAs help implement behavior management strategies and support students in developing positive social skills.

Person Specification You must have previous experience either working in school or with young people.
All applicants must have a Level 2 in Teaching and Learning or be working towards this.
You must have a current enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to provide a new one.
Be able provide references for all work in the last 2 years.
