As a Teaching Assistant (TA) , you will play a vital role in supporting the academic and personal development of students, helping them achieve their full potential.

Teaching Assistant Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one and small-group support to students, helping them achieve their learning objectives.
Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation, classroom management, and resource organisation.
Foster a supportive and inclusive environment where every student feels valued and encouraged to succeed.
Support students with additional learning needs.
Supervise students during non-classroom activities, such as breaks and school trips.
Promote positive behaviour management strategies in line with school policies.
Help students develop social and emotional skills, ensuring their well-being is prioritised.
Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers to ensure learning goals are met.
Assist in the preparation of teaching materials to enhance lesson delivery.
Encourage student participation and engagement during classroom activities.
Requirements for a TA: Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant (TA) or in a similar role is desirable.
A CACHE Level 2/3 or NVQ Level 2/3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent, is preferred.
A degree in Education, Psychology or in relevant field.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting young learners.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and adapting to student needs.
A willingness to collaborate with the teaching team to ensure a high-quality learning experience for all students.

Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from the last two years.
Possess an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
