Temporary Teaching Assistant and Midday Meals Supervisor We are looking to appoint a friendly, highly motivated and flexible Teaching Assistant and midday meals supervisor to join our team on a part-time basis, working two days per week (Thursday and Friday) including lunch duty.
This is a temporary post until July, term-time only, Thursday and Friday 8:35 – 3.15pm.
This includes 50 minutes of midday meals plus a 30 minute lunch break.
Salary Scale Grade 3, £24, 027 pro-rata.
There is the potential for this to become a permanent post.
The successful candidate will be working in our Year 5 and 6 classroom, supporting the learning and development of our upper primary pupils.
The post also involves supervising the children eating at lunch and engaging them in play at lunchtimes.
Key Responsibilities: •Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils, helping them to access the curriculum and make progress•Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging and effective lessons•Contribute to the creation of a positive, nurturing learning environment•Support the school's therapeutic approach to behaviour management•Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills Requirements: •Experience in supporting upper primary pupils, ideally with a focus on ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) or nurture support•Strong understanding of child development and the ability to adapt your approach to meet the needs of individual pupils•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues•Commitment to the school's Christian ethos and values Desirable Qualities: •Relevant qualifications in teaching, learning support, or a related field•Enthusiasm for outdoor learning and the use of the school's large outdoor spaces•Willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school community Boxgrove C of E Primary School is located in beautiful, extensive grounds within the heart of the village of Boxgrove, West Sussex.
