SEN Teaching Assistant BS4 September Start Full-Time Have you got experience with Special Educational Needs? A Primary School in the BS4 area of Bristol is looking for a Teaching Assistant to work with a child on a 1 to 1 basis in a Year 1 class. This school is a 2 form entry school, part of a large Bristol Trust who are a diverse school, supporting children from all backgrounds and providing the best learning experience for them.
They pride themselves on being an inclusive school and building strong relationships with the wider community involved with the pupils' lives. The Role As a successful candidate, you will be working within a Year 1 class supporting a child with SEMH needs on a 1 to 1 basis. You will work closely with the Class Teacher, developing activities to support the child's needs inside and outside the classroom. You will be expected to: Work collaboratively with the class teacher, communicating the development and assessment of the child's successes. Have high expectations for the individual to succeed. Create a stimulating and purposeful environment Manage and Support with the child's needs. Assess and communicate the individuals' successes and developments. Working with Long-term Teachers: We are an independent agency working with Nurseries, Primary, Secondary and Special Schools.
