Role: Teacher of Science - BiologyLocation: The Bedford Sixth FormSalary: Salary banding from £31,000 DOE and QualificationsHours: 37hrs/39 Week (Details of attendance will be communicated ahead of each academic year.
)Contract Type: Permanent – Full TimeAbout the role:We are looking for a Teacher of Science - Biology to join our Sixth Form.
As a Teacher you will play a pivotal role in the success of the students through: Undertaking an agreed teaching commitment to develop students' knowledge, skills, and understanding.Engaging, and motivating students, fostering curiosity and enthusiasm for learning.Planning, preparing and delivering high-quality lessons.Providing timely assessments and feedback to help students improve their learning.Contributing to achieving retention and success targets for courses taught.About you: Degree in a relevant subjectCertificate in Education or equivalent in line with the Statutory InstrumentEnglish and Maths or similar at GCSE grade A-C or equivalent Current experience of teaching A-Level Textiles.Experience of teaching in a Sixth Form or FE College environment with students 16 – 18 year oldsExperience of using ILT to enhance teaching and learningExperience of working effectively with people from diverse backgroundsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsSuccessful candidates must also be able to demonstrate alignment to our organisationalVISION values: Valuing Teamwork - We are one team who by working together can achieve great things, respecting the opinion and valuing the contribution each of us makes.Improving Continuously - We challenge ourselves to always do better by trying new things, sharing knowledge, reflecting on practice and learning from others.Student Centred - At our heart is always doing what is best for our students.
