Job DescriptionTeacher of Drama 0.4FTE (Fixed Term until 17 August ) - PKC£33, - £50, (pro-rata)The Community School of AuchterarderAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Teacher of Drama to join our Expressive Arts faculty on a temporary basis.This a part-time, temporary post (0.4 FTE).The Community School of Auchterarder is an all-through school, comprising Nursery, Primary and Secondary departments serving the community of Auchterarder and surrounding district.We have a roll of approximately 1, children and young people across all three sectors.The school is situated in a rural location, approximately 14 miles south of Perth with good road networks to the rest of Perthshire, Glasgow, Edinburgh and the central belt.
Our Associated Primary Schools are Aberuthven, Blackford and Dunning.Our school motto is 'Strive to Excel' and, working together, we encourage all children and young people to aspire to be the best they can be.Our aim is to build a community of learners who are:Happy Engaged Ambitious Respectful Trustworthy.The Community School of Auchterarder, at the HEART of our community.Our Expressive Arts Faculty comprises 5 teachers across our Music, Art and Drama departments.The drama department benefits from a large, dedicated drama studio, allowing for delivery of lively and engaging lessons.
The role is 0.4 FTE and, for this academic session, is timetabled across 2 days on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Teachers will be working with pupils across BGE to Higher.The IndividualThe successful candidate will have a thorough knowledge of pedagogies that engage learners.
The successful candidate will take account of the needs of all learners in their classrooms and ensure inclusive practice that leads to positive outcomes for learners.
