Job Advertisement: KS1 SEN Teacher Position : KS1 SEN Teacher Location : Amesbury  Salary : Competitive, dependent on experience Contract Type : Full-time Start Date : January 2025 About the Role: Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated KS1 SEN Teacher to join a supportive and dynamic school team, working with young students in Key Stage 1 who have special educational needs.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in children's educational journeys, helping them to reach their full potential in a safe and nurturing environment.
Responsibilities: Design and deliver engaging, personalized lessons tailored to the needs of students with special educational needs, including those with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning challenges.
Develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress, adapting teaching strategies as necessary.
Collaborate with teaching assistants, SEN support staff, and external specialists to provide a holistic approach to learning.
Create an inclusive, supportive, and stimulating classroom environment that fosters emotional and academic growth.
Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers to provide updates on student progress and discuss strategies for continued support at home.
Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK (required).
Previous experience teaching KS1 and/or SEN students (desirable but not essential).
Patience, empathy, and a passion for making a difference in children's lives.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs.
Knowledge of SEN-specific teaching techniques and strategies is highly beneficial.
