Tax Specialist

Tax SpecialistCK Group are recruiting for a Tax Specialist to join a company in the Pharmaceutical industry at their site based in Welwyn Garden City on a contract basis for 6 months.
This is a hybrid role with two days per week in Welwyn Garden City and three remote.
Salary: £11.44 per hour Tax Specialist Role: Support the management of the direct and indirect tax compliance processes (namely corporation tax, VAT, plastics tax), which are undertaken by the in house tax team, the accounting shared services centre and/or outsourced to external tax advisers ensuring all deadlines are adhered toSupport the oversight of the monthly group and annual statutory accounts reporting processAssist the team dealing with any tax enquires or queries from HMRCAnnual PSA preparation and submissionSupport the implementation of the Global tax policies, including transfer pricing Your Background: Experience in a multinational company either in a tax function or finance area with exposure to taxes or from an accounting and tax services advisory firmProfessional qualifications in accounting and/or taxGood understanding of corporation tax and VATExperience in transfer pricing, UK R&D and Irish taxes an advantageWorks independently within guidelines and policies, with minimal guidance Company: Our client is one of the world's premier innovative biopharmaceutical companies, discovering, developing and providing over 160 different medicines, vaccines and consumer healthcare products to help improve the lives of millions of people in the UK and around the world every year.
