Amazon TA is seeking a highly experienced Tax Manager to lead significant initiatives in our International Tax Planning Group, supporting Treasury and broader financial services matters.
This senior role will report into the U.S. international tax planning group and require expertise in international tax with a background in corporate treasury functions.
Key Responsibilities: Provide tax guidance and drive Amazon's treasury group's strategic initiatives.
Drive analysis on treasury matters such as currency and FX considerations, hedging, internal and external debt issuances, cash pool management, treasury systems, and cross-functional implications on executing treasury initiatives.
Assist with tax issue spotting and addressing related inquiries for treasury projects.
Collaborate with other support functions to design and implement optimal liquidity management structures.
Support international tax driven structuring initiatives as relates to treasury support and liquidity management.
Evaluate business proposals to identify funding strategies.
Analyze local country tax reform considerations relevant for the treasury support function.
Prepare and review comprehensive technical documentation/memos containing well-reasoned conclusions.
Communicate complex tax concepts effectively to non-tax professionals.
Requirements: Significant years of experience in a large corporate environment and/or public accounting or large law firm.
Bachelor's degree.
Preferred Qualifications: CA (Chartered Accountant) or equivalent, Masters in Tax or Masters of Law with tax specialization.
Understanding of international tax provisions under European or US laws.
Previous experience with Treasury matters such as FX considerations, hedging, internal and external debt issuances, cash pool management, Treasury systems, and cross-functional implications on executing Treasury initiatives.
Accounting knowledge.
Able to successfully lead complex, milestone-driven projects.
The estimated salary for this role is approximately $145,000 per annum, considering the company's requirements and industry standards.
