About the Opportunity: They are looking for a Tax Manager primarily focused on servicing personal tax clients but would also involve some corporation tax and trust tax work.
About the Responsibilities: As part of an 8-partner practice, you will get involved with a wide variety of tasks such as: Personal tax o Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients o Some tax compliance work, preparing tax returns for a small number of more complex clients o Tax planning work, including inheritance tax planning, for existing clients o Tax advisory work such as advising on the tax implications for directors of a proposal to restructure their owner managed business Trust tax o Managing the tax returns for a small portfolio of trust clients o Supporting small trust department in relation to tax queries arising Corporation Tax o Managing the corporation tax returns prepared by accounts/audit department o Preparing/checking a small number of more complex returns o Supporting accounts/audit department in relation to queries arising and more complex claims Developing the tax department o Meeting prospective new clients o Providing periodic tax technical updates for our clients and website o Proactively identifying opportunities to expand tax services About the Applicant: The successful candidate will be: The ideal candidate would have a strong background in personal tax and a reasonable knowledge of corporation tax and trust tax.
They would have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and good communication skills with both clients and colleagues.
