Job summary As a Systems Tester at Tees, Esk, and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust (TEWV) you will join a talented testing team to undertake end to end testing of system releases and enhancements in order to ensure that functional and safety requirements are met.
The development and maintenance of associated documentation such as test scripts and end of test reports is a key part of the role.

You must have the Right to Work in the UK in order to be successfully appointed to this role.

Main duties of the job A member of the Systems Testing team within the Systems and Development section, reporting into the Systems Test Lead.
To work closely with other teams within the Systems and Development section to undertake testing of system upgrades and releases, and to seek and suggest testing process improvement.

To work within an agile framework to ensure that systems are incrementally tested alongside systems developers to promote efficient and accurate developments.
Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide a mechanism for documentation of UAT.
To work alongside 3rd party application testers to provide quality testing framework for all Trust information systems.
To promote a data quality culture throughout the organisation to ensure systems are tested to promote data accuracy from all information systems.
Person Specification Qualifications Essential A-Levels (Including ICT) or equivalent in an informatics related subject or with equivalent experiential learning.
o GCSE Maths and Englis Desirable Qualification in software testing Experience Essential Experience of carrying out system testing Experience of writing test scripts and plans for complex system developments and upgrades Experience of evaluating and writing testing requirements within technical specifications or project plans Experience of carrying out testing including the production and maintenance of testing scripts Experience of working with end users to train, promote and execute effective User Acceptance Testing Desirable Experience of testing complex information systems in busy, confidential settings Experience of NHS IT systems and services Experience of working within an Agile development environment Experience of automated test tools Knowledge Essential A good knowledge of testing processes and an understanding of how this fits within an overall development lifecycle.
Knowledge of a broad range of information systems, both from a front end and back end perspective A good knowledge of defect management and structured approaches to resolution of issues Up to date practical knowledge of the use of Software application platforms, .
