Owing to a growing pipeline of project-related works, EGIS is seeking an experienced candidate for the position of Systems Deputy Design Manager. The role will be based in London and require 3 days in the office.
Typically, the role will demand the following contributions: We are seeking a highly skilled Deputy Design Manager specialising in Systems Integration to join our rail project management team. In this role, you will play a critical role in coordinating and overseeing the integration of various systems within rail projects, ensuring seamless functionality, compliance with industry standards, and alignment with project goals. You will work closely with the Design Manager and cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of systems within rail projects.
Key Responsibilities: Systems Integration Leadership: Collaborate with the Design Manager and other stakeholders to lead the systems integration process for rail projects, ensuring that various subsystems work together efficiently and effectively.Coordination: Oversee the coordination of multiple systems, including MEP, Fire, and communications systems, to ensure they work in harmony.Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure the integration of systems meets industry standards, regulatory requirements, and safety guidelines.Design Oversight: Assist the Design Manager in overseeing the design process, ensuring that system integration requirements are accurately incorporated into the overall project design.Risk Management: Identify potential integration risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, minimising project disruptions and delays.Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate with the project team, engineers, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and integration of systems.Documentation: Ensure that all systems integration activities are well-documented, including design specifications, test plans, and validation procedures.Testing and Validation: Oversee the testing and validation of integrated systems to ensure they meet project requirements and performance expectations.Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing any systems integration-related concerns or modifications.Reporting: Prepare regular reports on the status of systems integration, highlighting any issues, and proposing solutions.ProfileSkills and Experience Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.Proven experience in rail project management and systems integration.Strong knowledge of rail industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to analyse complex systems integration challenges and develop effective solutions.You will need the right to work in the UK What's in it for you: By joining Egis, as well as receiving a competitive salary, you'll also have the opportunity to explore flexible working arrangements.
