Job summary My name's Keir Brisbane and I am the new Service Manager for the Youth Service.
In our service we support young people (aged 14-25 years) who are experiencing moderate to severe mental health difficulties.
We have enthusiastic and skilled staff who provide the support that is needed - and they are motivated to make a real difference to young people, their families and carers.
Additionally, we are making a number of positive changes to the service; seeing waiting-lists drop and taking opportunities to think innovatively about our practice.

We're really excited to offer an opportunity for a Systemic Practitioner to work in our diverse multi-disciplinary team (MDT) to offer systemic interventions to our young people, and being a voice for this practice in our clinical discussions.
If appointed you will work across our North and South Youth Teams to truly change the lives of the young people in Norfolk.
Main duties of the job Main duties of the job The role of the Systemic Practitioner is to provide systemic interventions to our young people, their families and loved ones.
It is a chance to positively influence the way we practice as a team, and to make a lasting difference for the young people we support.
If appointed, you will: Deliver systemic interventions.
Complete quality assessments with young people.
Offer support, supervision and informal training to your colleagues.
Contribute to multi-disciplinary team (MDT) meetings.
Undertake other clinical tasks within the team.
You will have a PGCert or PGDip in Applied Systemic Practice or equivalent, and a Qualification in a core profession (medicine, social work, nursing, occupational therapy or psychology).

Person Specification Experience Essential Able to demonstrate an appropriate level of knowledge of mental health practice from previous professional experience.
Demonstrate effective risk assessment and risk management experience.
Experience and competence in completing mental health assessments including core assessments.
Desirable Experience of delivering systemic interventions Experience of delivering interventions related to own professional experience.
Qualifications Essential PGCert or PGDip in Applied Systemic Practice or equivalent.
Qualification in a core profession (medicine, social work, nursing, occupational therapy or psychology) Desirable A qualification in provision of supervision Ongoing professional registration with professional regulatory body.
Skills Essential Effective analytical and decision-making skills.
Competent and effective at utilising evidence-based interventions Risk assessment knowledge and skills to a level commensurate with job role.
Knowledge Essential Models of assessment, screening and risk assessment and risk management Knowledge of outcome measures and their use for clinical and audit purposes Evidence based systemic interventions Desirable An awareness of serious mental health presentations (psychosis, bi-polar) Knowledge of medication and the monitoring of its effects
