BASIC QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent Engineering experienceAdvanced Knowledge in Linux systems administration5+ years proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Python, Java, Go, Typescript, Ruby, to build reusable toolsSystems engineering, site reliability experience of building and operating systems at scaleExperience leading the design, build and deployment of complex and performant (reliable and scalable) software solutions in productionExperience writing technical documents, project plans and progress reports to leadership and to stakeholdersPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience hiring, developing and mentoring engineersExperience managing scaled cloud systems with a focus on operational excellenceExperience working with high-availability, distributed systems and servicesOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
