Key Accountabilities and Measures Work with the Head of Responsible Business to develop the Responsible Business strategy, identify impact area prioritisation, and delivery of outputs and outcomes.
Design, lead and execute sustainability projects aligned with our Sustainability / Responsible business plan across cross functional teams, ensuring project outputs and outcomes are delivered on time and to the agreed scope.
To be a knowledge leader, viewed both internally and externally as an ambassador for sustainability providing a centre of expertise, maintaining a relevant position for the business, awareness of current sustainability affairs and externally influence stakeholder engagement, relationship maintenance and partnership working.
Collaborate with internal teams to integrate sustainability into all business functions, to engage our people in sustainable thinking by using effective communications to increase employee understanding and engagement with sustainability.
Support the embedding of sustainability knowledge and engagement within the Commercial teams by facilitating engagement, upskilling and clear communication aligned to customer requirements Act as the main point of contact for internal stakeholders and external partners on projects aligned with the Responsible Business plan.
To support the wider Responsible Business team to deliver team goals and objectives in areas of shared impact and accountability, e.g.
food surplus redistribution and donations, data.
Essential Ingredients Educated to degree (or equivalent qualification) People management experience, whilst the role has no direct reports the ability to manage cross functional teams is key to delivery.
Project Management: Proven track record of partnership working, project management and managing change through organisations.
Visionary: Future focussed; experience of creating and implementing innovative programmes and engaging people in them.
Excellent communication skills: influential; persuasive, remaining resilient; politically savvy; impactful presentation skills.
Excellent relationship builder: proactive, collaborative and influential in approach, establishing credibility and great relationships with both internal and external contacts at a senior level.
Planning & organisation: an organised and disciplined approach and ability to work simultaneously on recurring tasks and ad hoc requests.
Able to operate independently, managing own workload and priorities to ensure all tasks and commitments are delivered.
Sustainability expertise: knowledge of environmental, social and governance principles and legislation and subjects such as carbon management and reporting, sustainable commodities, waste etc with the ability to create tangible action and business outcomes.
