Just Food Recruitment are recruiting for a Sustainability Manager to join this growing and ambitious food manufacturer who specialises in the Food Service industry.
Job Purpose: To lead ALL Sustainable initiatives & projects for the clients across the UK.
To propose new and innovative processes and systems and to communicate the benefits of these both internally and to customers.
To ensure the company is seen as a market leader in this area with a focus on NHS and Social Care The sustainability manager is responsible for an organisation's sustainability strategy and performance, and for ensuring the organization is operating in an environmentally responsible way: Develop and implement strategies: Create and implement sustainability strategies and programs, and ensure they are integrated into business processes Monitor and evaluate: Monitor compliance with environmental and social standards, and evaluate progress towards sustainability goals Identify areas for improvement: Assess the organisation's sustainability performance, and identify areas where improvements can be made Prepare reports: Prepare sustainability reports with research-backed recommendations Train employees: Train employees on sustainability issues Ensure compliance: Ensure legal compliance, and keep up to date with relevant legislation Influence culture: Champion sustainability, drive innovation, and encourage continuous improvement Practice CSR: Practice Corporate Social Responsibility, such as by engaging with the community, offering volunteering programs, and committing to ethical sourcing practices Role Accountabilities: Work within a team in developing and innovating the companies sustainable green policies and processes with ownership to launch.
Oversee the development of new policies and record all required information to generate an accurate impact on the environmental inc costing of materials and processes in line with business procedures Develop systems according to business and customer-defined scopes.
And requirements Ensure that facts, ideas and proposals are clearly and accurately described to customers, and within the business.
Be an expert source of advice to the wider business unit regarding competition, sustainable trends and initiatives within the healthcare/Social care sector and the wider market.
Build strong relationships with colleagues in other functions.
Lead on the monitoring and benchmarking of product quality of new and existing products.in relation to carbon and wider green credentials Ensure that all environmental standards are met, observed and adhered to at all times.
The role pays circa £45,000 and comes with all exec benefits.
