Strong industry salary and benefits Mon to Fri Hybrid role - home based with national travel Here at ISS, as a market leading Facilities Management (FM) provider we are looking to further develop our central Sustainability team which empowers public and private sectors around best Sustainability practice across their UK&I buildings.
This role is key, as it ensures as a business we are empowering/training our staff and ensuring technical compliance across our complete Sustainability service offering.
This will be applied our complete UK&I organisation, therefore this is a senior level role working at a strategic level In brief, you will ensure the organisation complies with all relevant environmental and social sustainability laws, regulations, and standards for UK & Ireland (including EU) , monitor changes in legislation, communicate impact and requirement to key business stakeholder e.g.
Legal Council, CFO etc update company policies accordingly.
This is a truly exciting position where you will have a unique opportunity to bring Sustainability to the forefront of a world class employer, working with passionate and talented people from all backgrounds Actions will include: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on sustainability practices and compliance requirements.
Accountable for the delivery of all Sustainability training programmes (in-house, via IMEA training centre and third parties) to ensure the right level of Sustainability knowledge and skills are deployed across the business.
Conduct audits and assessments to ensure adherence to sustainability standards, monitor compliance to standards and ensure corrective / remedial action is in place and delivered to address non-conformance Collaborate with internal team and external partners (suppliers, customers and regulatory bodies) to promote sustainability initiatives and alignment of sustainability goals the through upskilling, training and knowledge transfer Collaborate with commercial on solutioning for enterprise sustainability requirements, costings and delivery methodology at renew, bid and keep opportunities Act as the UK&I SME for Sustainability Compliance & Technical Standards across projects, product development and enterprise activity to improve the products we offer, our business capability and the perception of ISS sustainability in the industry Identify and leverage opportunities for improvement and best practice across ISS UK&I in regard Sustainability, sharing knowledge and innovation where relevant; scale and leverage across accounts We need from you: An academic background and interest in Sustainability e.g.
BSc/MSc in sustainability, environmental science, Environmental Law etc.
, member of relevant professional org Strong evidencable knowledge of social and environmental sustainability regulations, standards and future trends / changes that can be expected Effective communication, training and engagement skills able to transfer via the right delivery methodology at the right level of knowledge to stakeholders ranging from cleaning/M&E supervisors to C-suite.
Passionate about environmental and social sustainability, translating technical subject matter to support, empower and enable others to champion the change required to meet our goals / targets.
Experience of working in a complex global matrix environment with clients, supplier and internal stakes with multiple often conflicting priorities, their own stakeholders and requirements.
Understanding of facilities management is an advantage.
Demonstrated evidence to track and report on sustainability metrics and performance indicators.to Leadership populations and how remedials are being progress
