Job Advert: Sustainability Consultant (IES Modeller) Location: Near Brighton Job Type: Permanent About the Role: My client, a leading sustainability consultancy, is looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Sustainability Consultant with experience in non-domestic energy assessments.
This role is ideal for a team player who enjoys building strong working relationships with clients and can maintain high standards of work.
The successful candidate will need to have at least two years of experience as a qualified energy assessor and be proficient in using IES thermal modelling software.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct Part L analysis for design stage non-domestic developments.
Produce as-built EPCs and carry out EPC surveys for existing buildings.
Provide design stage reports for planning, including Sustainability/Energy Statements and LZC feasibility reports.
Create thermal models to test for overheating and determine daylight levels.
Assist with BREEAM delivery by reviewing evidence.
Coordinate with the wider mechanical and electrical design team, attend meetings, and support trainees.
Qualifications / requirements: Qualified NDEA (Non-Domestic Energy Assessor) is essential.
Proficient in using IES software.
Ideally, experience in carrying out Dynamic Simulation Modelling.
Good understanding of interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong reading comprehension.
Additional experience as a DEA (Domestic Energy Assessor) or in delivering BREEAM or LCA would be beneficial.
Ability to work as part of a team.
A degree in a relevant environmental or engineering subject is beneficial.
