Our people are at the heart of our purpose to advance aviation and keep the skies safe Job Purpose/Overview A core member of the Group Financial Control (GFC) team responsible for leading the development of compliant climate and sustainability related financial disclosures, including the Non-Financial & Sustainability Statement included in the annual report and accounts Legislation and other developments are significantly increasing the breadth, detail and prominence of non-financial disclosures.
This includes a specific focus on climate related financial disclosures and broader ESG reporting This role will be a leader within the organisation on climate related financial reporting.
Ensuring NATS is well prepared for existing and future legislation on climate related financial disclosures, impact assessing and delivering adoption action plans Other duties Focal point for climate and sustainability reporting requirements.
Developing a subject matter expertise in climate disclosures, building a diverse network and delivering industry best practice standards.
Able to identify and impact assess future requirements and turn these into deliverable implementation plans is critical.
Provide accounting guidance to the business on climate related matters, including forecasting, risk management and scenarios analysis.
Responsibility for drafting climate related disclosures within NATS' annual report to the high standards required.
The role will contribute to other internal and external climate related reporting.
An effective written and verbal communicator, at all levels within the organisation.
Proposing solutions to future challenges, demonstrating the imperative for change.
The role will include financial statement preparation.
A leader and key contributor to the wider GFC team, supporting broader activities and implementation of new requirements, such as ERP development.
Essential Skills and Experience Experience and understanding of UK climate related financial reporting requirements Qualified Accountant, with proven track record of producing high quality financial statements, including non-financial disclosures Experience in statutory audits A proven track record of delivering change Good knowledge of ERP systems Self-confident and professional expert able to articulate arguments and challenge constructively.
A proven track record of identifying issues or blockers to change early, and in response developing and adapting implementation strategies that deliver successful outcomes An excellent business-wide communicator able to convey the imperative for change and bring others along.
