Job Description Summary The Sustainability Analyst plays a crucial role in integrating finance practices into the sustainability framework of the organisation.
This position involves tracking, analysing and reporting on the impacts of sustainability initiatives while ensuring compliance with relevant sustainability regulations standards (namely external assurance).
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, a passion for sustainability and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
Job Description Key Responsibilities: Reporting and compliance: Prepare and present sustainability reporting to management and internal stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with sustainability reporting standards such as EU CSRD, GHG protocol, external assurance ... Data management: Collect, analyse and manage data related to sustainability with a prior focus on the carbon footprint.
Collaborate with cross functional and the digital technology teams to gather, automate the necessary information.
Financial analysis: Analyse the financial implications of sustainability initiatives and projects.
Develop and maintain sustainability-related models and forecasts.
Budgeting and forecasting: Assist in the development and monitoring of sustainability budgets and forecasts.
Include sustainability planning into our ways of working.
Continuous improvement: Perform audits on sustainability data, identify best practices and opportunities to enhance sustainability performance and the organisation effectiveness.
Keep up to date on industry and sustainable finance trends.
Stakeholder management: Work with internal teams to drive the accounting processes across the organisation.
Liaise, as per needs, with external stakeholders, including auditors and regulatory bodies, on sustainability matters.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting / finance, and/or sustainability or Environmental Science.
Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, ideally with a focus on sustainability (namely sustainability frameworks).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in accounting software and reporting tools, experience in sustainability software a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work in a global environment.
